It's pound-for-pound the most scalable CMS on the market.  The Movable Type Markup Language separates template coding from the CMS core code better than WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.  It's the oldest of the major web-based CMS systems, which means that it has been thoroughly tested and run at scale for many years.
